Three Quick No Bake Strawberry Recipes

Nutritional Tidbit from Audrey. Strawberries, like most berries are little bite size powerhouses of nutrients. However, the longer they sit the less potent they become. Flash frozen fruit are often processed when they are at their peak and then the freezing processs slows down the loss of nutrients. This allows you to enjoy them later on, in the quantities you like, without worrying about the spoilage or loss of nutrients.

Yields1 Serving
 1 ½ cups Freshly picked strawberries that you freeze before using
 1 cup Milk of your choice
 1 pt Your favorite strawberry ice cream
 1 stick Softened Butter
 ½ cup Thinly sliced fresh strawberries
 1 ½ lbs Frozen Strawberries
 ½ lb Frozen Mango or Other Berries
 7 fl oz Sweetened Condensed Milk
 ½ tsp Danbury Country Store Kosher Salt (do not use iodized or table salt)

To make the ideal Strawberry Milkshake. Mix Frozen Strawberries, ice cream and milk in a blender. Mix until smooth. Top with fresh strawberries and whipped cream.
The strawberries at every level adds a richness to the milkshake, much more than adding a strawberry liquid to milk.

To make Strawberry Butter, that is delicious on toast, biscuits, crackers, waffles, pancakes and more, mix softened butter with thinly sliced strawberries. Mix well, until smooth and then refrigerate.

Strawberry -Mango No Bake Ice Cream
In a food processor, mix fruit and pulse until fluffy. Add Condensed milk and salt, scrape sides of bowl when needed, and pulse until smooth.
Place mix into bread loaf pan (9x5). Freeze, uncovered, approximately four hours. Cover tightly with plastic, after frozen and enjoy for two weeks. (It won’t last that long).
