Broccoli is a vegetable very high in fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, Iron and Potassium. It is also a very low carbohydrate food. This Slaw is a nutritional powerhouse.

6 cups Broccoli
1 cup Shredded Carrots
1 cup Shredded Cheese, I prefer Cheddar
1 cup Golden or dark Raisins
1 cup Cooked Bacon, chopped into small bits
1 tbsp Sugar
2 ½ tbsp Cider Vinegar, Apple Vinegar or White Vinegar
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 tbsp Danbury Country Store Celery Seed
½ tsp Danbury Country Store Salt
¼ tsp Danbury Country Store Black Pepper
Fresh Lemon juice, squeezed
1 Cut woody ends off broccoli and then cut broccoli into small, bite sized pieces.
Place into a large bowl.
2 Add Raisins, Cheese, Bacon and Carrots into bowl with broccoli.
3 In a small bowl combine the remaining ingredients and pour over broccoli mixture.
4 Mix well and refrigerate. This can easily be made a day early to take to a cookout or BBQ
