Tips from Audrey
When measuring flour for baked goods it should be sifted or at the very least fluffed and never packed. Why? A cup of packed or compact flour can weigh 5 to 6 ounces, a cup of sifted flour weighs 4. So if you put in two cups of flour that is not sifted you may be adding an additional cup of flour to your recipe which will change the texture, taste and baking time dramatically.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 13x 9 baking pan with oil/cooking spray and parchment paper.
Mix base and spread into prepared pan with wet fingertips or a damp spatula.
Bake for 20 to 30 ,minutes until a light golden brown.
Cool Completely!
While crust is cooling combine all filling ingredients.
Pour topping over cooled crust.
Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is set and forms a crust. Do not overtake.
Allow to set before cutting.
